FOXY BROWN SUGAR FRENCH TOAST

I like bread, and I like it a lot; so giving up bread with gluten is like giving up... some other thing that actually has no other comparable value like water/oxygen. Let's be real though, not having bread isn't the end of the world, but it could potentially crumble like the end of the world if it's not toasted and slathered in butter.
But I digress.
Gluten free French toast is no different than regular French toast except for there being no gluten in the bread. I've never loved French toast a ton, and can count how many times I've had it in my childhood that have made the taste memorable and it probably had more to do with who was preparing it. The several times my mum made it for my sister and I when we were kids was always fantastic. Mum's know how to make everything just so, even dad's would agree. Sandwiches that are equal parts lettuce, tomato, mayo, deli meats, and cheese; cupcakes that are perfectly frosted and everything else just so. She would usually put the syrup on the side, partly because she didn't care for her food touching, but we could always dip the French toast into the syrup.
My dad would make French toast and pour the syrup over the toast right after taking it out of the pan; all crunchy and soft and syrup-py. I am glad to say both parents know how to make a mean French toast.

As most of you know how to beat an egg, and turn on a skillet, I'm sure all I have to tell you is beat the egg with ferocity, flip the bread with tenacity and sprinkle some of that brown sugar onto the fried bread so that it carmelizes a bit on the bread, and pour on the syrup or honey. Oddly the usual sweet and savory that I hate with eggs and syrup/ pancakes and eggs doesn't have the same bad taste in this instance.

There you have it, the first recipe I made that was an easy gluten free. Foxy Brown Sugar French Toast
